Stockholm Hockey Games 2015

An exciting weekend awaits all hockey lovers!



Next year 2015 AIK and the Team 2005 will arrange the Stockholm Hockey Games. It will be the largest event we have hosted to date. To organize a tournament of this magnitude it is an honor, although much need to be arranged before everything is in place and the first puck is dropped. But all is forgiven at the moment you see all the young eagerness of these hockey players to show off their skills and knowledge about the game in their young ages.

I already want to thank all those who work during the weekend and make sure that Stockholm Hockey Games 2015will be an removable moment for all of us, leaders, players and parents. For those of you who don’t have the ability to follow the tournament in the arena in Stockholm you can follow all games online at our result reporting and see how your team are located in the group.


Stockholm Hockey Games 2015 is an interesting test case in the players development to become a professional hockey player. Since not everyone has the opportunity to measure themselves against international opposition in respective countries, this tournament is a good option for international competition. 
More players will get to know the meaning of "play desperate with a sense of urgency” and understand the ability to peak their performance more days in a row. The road to success is neither easy nor fair, rather, hard work and many hours of toil are required. Though, well ahead usually not many complain!


My feeling is that all of you who plan to visit Stockholm to witness the Stockholm Hockey Games 2015 will be amazed at the knowledge many of the players already possess. Youth hockey has to say, taken great strides in recent years. In particular, more recognized the importance of daring to compete.

Enrollment

Enrollment takes place 30th April from 5 pm for all participating teams, players and leaders. After enrollment and accommodation an inauguration ceremony will be held at 7 pm including a closing dinner for all players and leaders.

Application

Has to be made by sending an email to, roland.lohrgenstahl@gmail.com, final notification will be valid when payment from the applicant has reached our account. All information about the tournament will be sent to the team´s manager or other registrated official. Last day of registration and payment has to be made by latest 28th February 2015. In any case we will be using first in a row for availability.

Category

The tournament is permittet for boys born 2005 or later

Number of Players

The number of players per team must be at least 16 (15 players + 1 goalie). No over-aged players (born earlier than 2005) will be permitted.

Cost

As an entry fee the charge will be 5000 SEK ($ 705) per team, and 1250 SEK ($ 176) per player. The playing fee includes lunch and snacks as well as opening dinner for all players including three leaders of the team.

Payment

After receiving your enrollment we will invoice the team for payment. Mark the payment with the Stockholm Hockey games 2015 and which team it is for. Registration is valid when the registration fee is available on our account. Payment of the players fee shall be paid no later than 15 March 2015. Do not forget to enter the name of the team number of players.

Game Form

16 teams from 9 different nations will participating in this tournament in Stockholm, Sweden. Teams will be placed in four groups, each consisting of four teams where everyone meets everyone in the group.

Playoffs for the winner of each group and team in 2nd place in their respective groups while 3rd and 4th will be playing placement games. All teams will play at least four games.

Teams:

16 teams, from North-America to Europé will show up to present their skills.

Game time

2 x 15 minutes effective time, flushing the ice after each game. Semifinals and finals will be played 2 * 20 minutes.

Reporting results

All results are presented in the hall at multiple locations. During the tournament we will report all results on CupOnline - Start - Online Cup-administration

Dressingrooms

All teams can occupy a dressing room and offered storage spaces.

Team responsible

For team and group we have appointed a responsible team official on site during the tournament for you to provide help.

Accommodation:

The tournament is demanding, both on ice and in the social environment. We will arrange nearby hotels for 2, 3 or 4-bed rooms at reasonable cost.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and snacks and fruit are included for all players and leaders of the team.

Logistics

Players and leaders will have free access to transportation between the airport, hotels and the stadium at designated times.

Hockey & Souvenir Store

During the tournament, we have a hockey store in site, selling accessories, hockey equipment and souvenirs from Stockholm and AIK so everyone can bring something with them as a memory of this tournament.
